Special Education Overview

Special education is instruction that is specially designed to meet the unique needs of a student with a disability. The SCPCSD ensures that a free appropriate public education (FAPE) is made available to all children with disabilities between the ages of 3 and 21, inclusive, in accordance with IDEA and the SC Department of Education Regulation 42-243 and 42-243.1.
